Project Manager Data Services   Location: Boston, MA   Industry: Asset Management

The Technology Project Manager is a key part of the PMO and will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test, and production environments. Key to this role is understanding data needs and environments for asset management firms.

Responsiblities and Qualifications

  • Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across several of the firm’s portfolios
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases meet expectations and are delivered on time and within budget
  • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party application, or operating system updates
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule and scope changes
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2 – 6 years of previous release and/or project management experience. Solid understanding of project management principles preferred.
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
  • Formal training in project management practices
  • Advanced knowledge of software development life-cycle

Program Manger CSM   Location: Boston, MA   Industry: Asset Management

Looking for a Scrum Master / Agile Coach to support our IT teams as we transition into an Agile environment running one or two delivery teams.

Responsiblities and Qualifications

  • Provide leadership in rolling out Agile delivery model and manage a team of Scrum Masters
  • Lead and provide guidance to establish an operating and governance model for rolling out Scrum across the organization
  • Promote continuous improvement while helping teams increase productivity and foster innovation
  • Plan sprints, prioritize the backlog, lead teams, manage the development process, identify and eliminate obstacles from delivery
  • Ensure transparency throughout delivery utilizing Agile best practices such as Sprint planning, Release and Sprint Burndown, Daily Scrum, Sprint demos, and Retrospectives
  • Manage collective activities , issues, dependencies, and risks of projects within the portfolio
  • Additional Responsibilities 
  • 5+ years of recent experience as a Scrum Master and CSM certified
  • 10+ years of prior experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience in the asset management business
  • Experience with Agile PLM tolls like Rally, Jira, and VersionOne (Jira Preferred)
  • Ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks using Agile best practices and project data
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Excellent facilitation, decision making , and conflict resolution skills
