Scope creep remains a big risk factor in any IT project. It is important to maintain clear communication channels regarding any changes to the scope. Everything must be documented, with a final approval – and signature – by the project stakeholder before the work gets rescheduled.

Risk Assessment and Management Is Vital

Any project risks were documented in the initial project definition document. Take a proactive approach to managing these known risks as well as any new issues that crop up over the project’s life-cycle. Perform updated risk assessments throughout.
